  • Stanley Artists win Mayor’s Christmas card design competition

    This year’s Mayoral Christmas Card will feature designs by six children from across the Borough.

     

    We are delighted that three of the children are from Stanley.

     

    Congratulations and very well done to:

     

    Winner: Hannah C-H in 3B, whose design is one of three which will be printed on the Mayor's official Christmas cards.

    Runners-up: Lucas M in Maple and Joshua J in 5V whose designs will feature on the reverse of the cards.

     

    The six children and their families enjoyed a tea party with the by the Mayor of Richmond, Councillor Lisa Blakemore at York House on Monday 11 December.

  • Year 3 at Butser Farm

    As part of their “Tribal Tales” Stone Age to Iron Age project, Year 3 visited Butser Ancient Farm in Waterlooville on Tuesday 5 December.

     

    The children learnt about life in ancient times and had Archaeology, Flint wall building, Wattling and Pottery activities during the day. They also made some copper jewellery and experienced life in an ancient round house sat round a fire … an indoor bonfire and very smokey!

  • Christmas tree competition winners

    Congratulations to our Christmas Tree Competition winners.

     

    Year 5 and 6 School Councillors had the difficult job of picking the winners from some very impressive entries.

     

    They selected the following winners:
     

    Nursery - Sebastian M Nursery am

    Reception - Herbie H Pine

    Year 1 - William H Chestnut

    Year 2 - Damian V Birch

    Year 3 - Chloe-Louise S 3OK

    Year 4 - Billy H4B

    Year 5 - Sofia U A 5B

    Year 6 - Maya D 6S

     

    The children were awarded their voucher prizes in their celebration assemblie and the winning entries were on display in the office.
  • Christmas Bazaar

    A fabulously festive time was had by all at the Christmas Bazaar on Sunday 3 December. A whopping £6,100 was raised, which will be spent on new gym and sports equipment. A big Thank You to everyone who helped organise, ran stalls, donated prizes, bought raffle tickets, listened to the music, ate, drank, tidied up, and generally supported our school by just being there.
