  • Wider Opening of School Video

    Fri 29 May 2020

We are looking forward to welcoming Pre-School, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children back to school on Monday 1 June and to seeing Year 2-5 Keyworker children again.

We have made a video to tell parents and children more about what school will be like when you come back. Parents as well as children will have to follow some new procedures to ensure school is a safe place to be. It is important that you are aware of these procedures and timings for your child so that school can run smoothly and safely. As well as this video Mr Hawley has written to parents explaining new timings and arrangements, his letters were sent to parents via Parent Hub but they are also posted in the Virtual office on this website.

  • Year 3's Getty Museum Challenge

    Wed 13 May 2020

Year 3's art homework saw them recreate famous works of art at home in the Getty Museum Challenge.

This is the brief they were given ...

The Getty Museum in Los Angeles, America set a challenge which has spread around the world and we would like you to get involved too!

They suggested that during lockdown whilst people can’t get to museums and art galleries they want us to bring the art to our homes! Here’s what you have to do…

    1) Choose a famous piece of artwork you would like to recreate.

    2) Find objects from around your house that remind you of things in the painting.

    3) Recreate the piece of art using these objects and take a photo!

Year 3 responded to this challenge brilliantly ... here are some of their impressive recreations:

  • Government Annoucement - a message from Mr Hawley

    Mon 11 May 2020

    Dear Parents / Carers.

Many of you will have watched the briefing provided by the Prime Minister yesterday evening and will subsequently have lots of questions regarding school. In the short term, nothing has changed. We do not get any prior information from the Government or DfE and subsequently, we will need time to develop a strategic approach that supports the well-being of all stakeholders. We will not be in a position to answer any of your questions over the next few days and further details will be provided as soon as we can, once the Government has issued more detailed guidance.

    Best wishes and take care

    Mr S Hawley
