  • New website- parent volunteers wanted

    Wed 29 Jan 2014
You may be aware that we are in the process of developing a new school website, which we anticipate will be finished later this term. This will feature a year group section, within which we will include information on the curriculum, project work, forthcoming events, photos, letters and useful websites for each year group. We are looking for parent volunteers from each year group to work with the relevant year group leader to ensure that this information is collected, updated and communicated to the school admin team on a regular basis. If you are able to get involved with this, we would be grateful if you could contact the office. Thank you.
  • KS1 sleepover a huge success!

    Tue 28 Jan 2014
A big thank you to all the team who volunteered to give up a night’s sleep to run the sleepover last week, and to all the children who took part and who were such stars! All the money raised from the sleepover will be used to fund arts activities in the Infant Department.
  • Visit by famous children's authors

    Tue 21 Jan 2014

A reminder that as part of our Stanley GLOW (Great Love of Words) programme to develop reading for enjoyment in our school, two famous children’s authors will visit our school next week.

On Tuesday 28 January 2014, Ian Whybrow will be working with Nursery, Reception and Years 1 - 3 (http://www.ianwhybrow.com/books). There will also be an opportunity for parents to ‘meet the author’ from 14.45-15.10 in the Large Studio.

On Thursday 30 January 2014, Alan Gibbons will be working with years 4 - 6 (http://www.alangibbons.com/books.htm).

We believe this will be an amazing experience for our children and are delighted that FOSP will be sponsoring part of the cost of these visits. We are asking for a voluntary contribution of £1 from each child in the school to cover the remaining costs of the visits. Please send your £1 in a sealed envelope with ‘Author Visit’ and your child’s name and class on it.

On both days there will be a Waterstones book stall which will be open before and after school (08.30-09.30 in the Large Studio and 15.10-16.30 in the Year 2 base). Books purchased in the morning will be signed by authors during the day and returned to children. Books purchased after school may be signed in person at the book stall in Year 2 base.

We have limited Preschool places available for September 2024, to register your interest go to About Us / Admissions * * * * * If you have a safeguarding concern about a child please contact the Single Point of Access on 020 8547 5008
