  • Jeans for Genes Day

    Wed 25 Sep 2019
Thursday 19 September saw Stanley taking part in 'Jeans for Genes Day'. For a £1 contribution staff and pupils could come to school wearing something denim. The idea came from Milly Walsh, Lola Gomez and Gabby Gomez, all Year 5 pupils. After researching the charity they pitched the idea to Mr Dickinson who agreed to take part. In total £396 was raised for the charity. Well done girls- you are all Stanley Superstars!
  • Year 2 Mathematicians are trophy winners

    Fri 20 Sep 2019

Mr Foss-Smith & Mrs Peterson took four children from Year 2 to Hampton Prep School to take part in an afternoon of fun maths tasks, problem solving and number reasoning.

Our team of Thomas RJ (Sycamore), Sam D (Oak), Annie B (Sycamore) and Jenson J (Sycamore) performed incredibly well, working together as a team against top opposition which included Hampton Prep, Twickenham Prep, Buckingham school and Holy Trinity School. After a frantic but tense final round, we are proud to report that Stanley School came out on top, returning with the inaugural “Fun with Numbers” trophy!

Well done for all the hard work that has been put into our maths lessons over the last couple of years by all the children and teachers in our Foundation and KS1 stages that has led to this triumph!
