Reception chicks explore!
Wed 29 Apr 2015The new Reception chicks are growing and exploring! As part of this term's 'Moving and Growing' topic, Reception children have been exploring the concept of growth from a baby to an adult, thinking about what makes all animals grow and how they stay healthy. They have watched their very own eggs hatch into chicks- see photos below!

Welcome to Reception 2015 families
Fri 17 Apr 2015A very warm welcome to those families who have been offered a 2015 Reception place at Stanley this week. We are really looking forward to seeing you in September and sharing our fantastic school with you. We will be sending out further information soon detailing our induction process. In the meantime can we remind parents/ carers that Thursday 30 April is the date by which you must accept your place via Richmond Borough admissions.

Update on Nursery closure
Mon 13 Apr 2015All the contents from the Nursery have been removed for safe storage following a visit from the insurance company's loss adjuster. We have been fortunate that there has been very little damage to any of the resources and furniture, and all of the IT equipment has remained undamaged. The electricians removed light fittings and smoke alarms on Thursday, and the damaged ceiling and insulation were removed on Friday. The ceiling is drying out well, which will allow the lights and new smoke alarms to be refitted on Tuesday and the electrics tested. A full deep clean is booked for Wednesday and the Nursery staff will be setting the Nursery up over Thursday and Friday to allow it to open fully on Monday 20 April 2015.

Nursery closed until Mon 20 April due to flooding
Tue 07 Apr 2015For parents/ carers of children in our Nursery: Nursery will not reopen on Tuesday 14 April 2015 due to flooding. The underfloor heating system in the Stanley Children & Family Centre has failed, causing a major flood in the Nursery. We are working to rectify the problem and in the meantime Nursery will remain closed to children until Monday 20 April 2015. We will provide further updates when available. Scamps (our pre and after-school care facility) may be able to assist with childcare during this time, but parents/ carers should contact Scamps direct to arrange this on 020 8943 9313. Our apologies for any inconvenience this may cause our families. Please note that the rest of the school is unaffected and will reopen as planned on Tuesday 14 April 2015- only Nursery will remain closed until Monday 20 April 2015.
