We will be making a collection of items which will be given to SPEAR (the homelessness to independence charity), the Salvation Army, Twickenham and Elleray Hall Social Club, Teddington. Items that are particularly useful include tins, rice, sauces, condiments, cereals, tea/ coffee, sugar, dessert items, biscuits, cakes, crisps, chocolate and squash. Useful non-food items include washing powder/ tablets, cleaning products, toilet roll, personal hygiene products and tea towels.
Parents/children in Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6) are asked to bring their contributions straight to the gym on the morning of Friday 16 October 2015. All other children should take their contributions to their classrooms. We would be grateful if any parents could help to set up the Harvest table in the gym from 08.45 on Friday morning. Unfortunately, due to space limitations, we are unable to invite parents to this assembly. If you would like to nominate an elderly person in need to receive a harvest parcel, please return the form at the end of this week's newsletter. Please be aware that you will be responsible for collecting the parcel at the end of the day and taking the food to the person you have nominated.
Our next cake sale will take place this Friday 16 October 2015 with a Rugby World Cup theme! The sale will be held in the Years 5/6 courtyard, or the hall if raining. We would be grateful if bakers and helpers from Year 4, Willow and Oak could please bring cakes (no nuts please) to the office at drop-off or to the stall at pick-up. Come and treat yourself- all profits go back the school!
