Year 5 have been voting in Richmond borough’s Pupil Parliament elections. The Pupil Parliament was established in 1994 with the aim of helping primary school pupils to become directly involved in citizenship and promoting British values. Pupils debate and contribute their views to the borough council on many issues, including the school curriculum, sports and recreation as well as wider issues such as anti-racism and immigration. The parliament consists of two representatives (from current Year 5 pupils) from each participating school.
The 2 pupils who are elected from Stanley will represent our school on Pupil Parliament day in October in the council chambers of York House, Twickenham. See photos below.
