Pupil Parliament congratulations

Congratulations to Connie O'L (6TS) who took part in Pupil Parliament Day last week at York House. Connie and Pupil Parliament representatives for other Richmond primary schools met to present their speeches on the theme "It's your education". Connie's speech was voted by the other representatives as being in the top ten best speeches of the day. Well done, Connie!

The Pupil Parliament was established by Richmond borough in 1994 with the aim of helping primary school pupils to become directly involved in citizenship and promoting British values. Pupils debate and contribute their views to the borough council on many issues, including the school curriculum, sports and recreation as well as wider issues such as anti-racism and immigration. The parliament consists of two representatives (current Year 6 pupils) from each participating school.
