Film Club returns this Saturday, and by popular demand, we are showing Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events. Having been orphaned, the three Baudelaire children are sent to stay with their closest living relative - who turns out to be the mind-bogglingly creepy Uncle Olaf, the owner of a rickety mansion who plans to claim their parents' inheritance for himself. After several lucky escapes, the Baudelaires finally get to move in with other family members instead - but they haven't seen the last of Uncle Olaf! This is an imaginative and very funny film adapted from the hugely popular Lemony Snicket children's books, with a fantastic turn from Jim Carrey as the vile Uncle Olaf.
