Learning with Confidence Together
The Stanley Mile Challenge organised by the Friends of Stanley Primary (FOSP) has raised an impressive £2,284 for the school.
Children in all year groups, from Reception to Year 6, including Peartree, were challenged to finish one mile per week during Spring term to complete a half marathon before Easter. The children completed their miles in lots of different ways including scooting, walking, skipping, running, roller-blading and pancake tossing!
As well as raising money for our school, the FOSP Stanley Mile Challenge also helped to blow away the cobwebs of a difficult year, boost physical and mental health and bring everyone together while we were apart earlier this year!
A big thank you to everyone who took part and special mentions to Ava S (3T) and Eirynn S (5VW) who did an amazing 520 miles over 13 weeks and Cleo A (Maple) who raised a whopping £221. All three are pictured below.
Another fantastic effort from all our Stanley Stars and FOSP!
