New Reception Parents Evening

Looking forward to the ‘New Year’

at Stanley Primary School

It was a perfect evening to host our annual information evening for new parents at Stanley Primary School. The families of the children who will be joining the Reception year in September, were invited to meet their child’s teaching staff.

The evening began with food and wine provided by the school caterers and the Friends of Stanley Primary (the schools PTA). Mr Dickinson, Headteacher, began the presentation which included a ‘chat show’ style Q&A with Eliza and Bijan (pictured below) who were there to represent the pupil voice at the school.

The leader of the council, Cllr Gareth Roberts and Cllr Penny Frost, Lead for Education both joined us for the evening. Cllr Frost said

“It was an absolute delight to meet new parents at Stanley School at the Reception parents’ evening, and to hear the enthusiasm of the parents looking forward to their children starting in September. Parents had the opportunity to see the classrooms which will be used in September, and talk to the designer. Returning parents told me how happy their children are at the school, the warmth of welcome and the inclusive nature of the school. I wish them all a very happy new academic year, with all the opportunities which Stanley School has to offer.”

The designer for the schools current building works and a representative from the Local Authority were there to answer questions about the building project.
