Learning with Confidence Together
The last day at Stanley for Year 6 was one they will remember!
They beat the teachers at Rounders in the morning and had their Leavers' Party in the afternoon on a very hot day ... fortunately there was lots of water to keep them cool!
The Foam Cannon was fired up at the end of the day after Year 6 had drenched their teachers in a water fight, enjoyed three bouncy castles, done some Sumo wrestling, eaten cake and ice lollies and posed for pictures in the photo booth ... a very special school day!
Good luck Year 6 ... we'll miss you!
Year 6 shared their memories of Stanley Primary at their Leavers' Assembly, they performed and received their Yearbooks and Certificates.
Their memories ranged from joining the school, meeting friends who remained good friends, trips ... especially Osmington Bay, "interesting" incidents in class and thoughts on some of their teachers.
Councillor Jonathan Cardy, who is also a Governor, helped Mr Dickinson hand out the Yearbooks and Certificates and also wished the children well as they move on to their new schools.
Mr Dickinson, who was presented with a book of Year 6 messages, congratulated the children on their achievements at Stanley and encouraged them to make the most of their time at senior school by stepping forward to take part in what they enjoy and are good at.
Thank you for some great memories and good luck Year 6!
Year 1 enjoyed a trip to Strawberry Hill House.
They had a tour of the house, learnt about family ancestry and dressed up in historical clothing.
The Year 6 Leavers' production was a resounding success - the children's performances had them rolling in the aisles. The West End beckons for this troop of performers who could turn tears to laughter with one song and dance. Congratulations all!
