How is the effectiveness of the SEN/D provision monitored at Stanley Primary School?

The SEN/D Code of Practice (2015) describes adequate progress thus:

• Is similar to that of children of the same age who had the same starting point

• Matches or improves on the pupil’s previous rate of progress

• Which allows the attainment gap to close between the pupil and children of the

same age

The effectiveness of the school’s provision for pupils with SEN/D is evaluated through the schools on-going monitoring cycle by the Senior Leadership Team and Governors. This includes:

  • Termly pupil progress meetings and analysis of this data
  • Learning walks
  • Numeracy and Literacy Audits
  • Provision Management audit
  • Lesson Observations
